Basic Airgun Safety Handling

1. The shooter should always keep the airgun (air pistol/air rifle) be pointed in a very safe direction.
Every individual when carrying their respective airgun should always remember SAFETY FIRST. This is the golden rule that shooters should follow in order not to cause damage or injury in every person around the perimeter. The muzzle or end of the barrel should always be pointed downward or upward above the head.



2. The shooter should always keep your finger off the trigger or trigger housing until you are ready to shoot.
When holding an air rifle or air pistol put your finger alongside of the gun. This rule is to avoid accidental shots that can cause damage or injury in every individual within in the area.

3. The shooter should always keep the airgun unloaded all the time until ready to use.
This rule will help prevent accidental firing and enhances safety to every individual whether at home, shooting range and even in the field.


4. The shooter should always be familiar with your target point and what is beyond that target.
The shooter should distinguish their target and should know what are the things beyond that target in order to prevent accident or property damage.

5. The shooter should always be sure that the airgun is safe to operate.
Every shooters make sure that their airguns are safe to operate and be aware of all the manual operation including the information of its equipment before going the range and even during the firing course. He/she should also know the every parts. Be able to know how to load the pellets and to unload it.

6. Never use alcohol and any other prescribed medicines/drugs while participates shooting competition.
Never take alcohol and any other prescribed medicines/drugs in order to avoid side effects whether physically or mentally condition of the shooter while participating a tournament.

7. Never pick-up an airgun that is not yours without the consent or permission from the owner.
The shooter should refrain from picking-up airgun that belongs to the other shooter without the consent or permission from the owner.

8. Always store your airgun in a case when not in use.
The shooter should always store his/her airgun in a safety case to prevent other inexperienced individual and children to access the said equipment.
